Friendly reminders regarding the pneumonia epidemic in Wuhan
Due to the recent pneumonia epidemic in Wuhan, the Education Bureau has announced that all secondary schools, primary schools, kindergartens and special schools will be resumed on 2nd March. Whether the suspension will be extended depends on the development of the epidemic.
The incubation period of this pneumonia is 14 days. If you and your children have travelled abroad or have visited relatives in the Mainland during this period, it is recommended that parents must bring your children back to Hong Kong on or before 2nd February to prevent the epidemic from spreading and contaminating everyone. You and your children must also stay at home for 14 days after arriving in Hong Kong. Students can go back to school only after there are no symptoms of this epidemic!
I urge parents to respect and protect the health and safety of themselves, their families, and other people. Together we will work to fight this epidemic.
Staying at home for 14 days before returning to school can provide a peace of mind for yourself and your children. We hope that our students can learn in a healthy and safe environment.
Once again, I sincerely request all parents to cooperate wholeheartedly with us! Thank you!
Class teachers will contact parents on the 3rd of February to remind you of important class notes during this time of school suspension. Parents can receive the updated information through our school website and parents apps. Thank you for your attention.
May you be blessed with good health and safety!
