Inheriting Chinese Wisdom, Exploring New Scientific Knowledge

 

我是皮影匠 I am a Shadow Puppeteer

 

在中華文化日,五年級同學回到古代的中國,透過閲讀圖書,認識皮影戲藝術,探究皮影戲如何運用光的原理、影偶操縱技巧以及説故事技巧,造就一台好戲!此外,同學透過閲讀《西遊記》三借芭蕉扇的故事,認識孫悟空以及鐵扇公主如何展開連番惡鬥。閲讀後,同學先以劇本形式,創作三借芭蕉扇的故事,再透過製作皮影戲重新演繹故事。最後,老師帶領同學回到現代,應用科技創作「腦動傳影」Scratch影子遊戲,以現代科技傳承中華智慧。
On Chinese Culture Day, P.5 students travelled back to ancient China through reading books. They learned about the art of shadow puppetry, investigating the principle of light, puppet manipulation techniques and storytelling skills to create a captivating performance! Additionally, by reading the story of ‘Journey to the West’ and the episode of the Monkey King borrowing the Banana Fan, students discovered the intense battles between the Monkey King and the Princess Iron Fan. After reading, students first created a script of the story of borrowing the Banana Fan and then reinterpreted the story through the creation of shadow puppetry. Finally, the teacher guided the students back to the present day to apply technology in creating a ‘Brain Animation’ the Scratch app game, passing on Chinese wisdom through modern technology.

另一邊廂,一眾老師帶領六年級同學回到三國時代,認識三國的歷史,探究投石車背後的槓桿原理,然後製作一個穩固且能投出小石子的投石器。掌握古代製作投石器的智慧後,老師帶領同學回到現代,應用科技創作「投石問腦」Scratch電腦遊戲。
On the other hand, our teachers led P.6 students back to the Three Kingdoms era, learned about the history of the Three Kingdoms, explored the lever principle behind the catapult, and then made a stable catapult that can throw small stones. After mastering the wisdom of making catapults in ancient times, the teacher led the students back to modern times, and applied technology to create the Scratch game ‘How to Make a Catapult’.


完成學習活動後,同學需要完成《我的防禦工事日記》,以日記形式,並加入曾學習的説明手法,分享當天製作投石器以及Scratch電腦遊戲的心得。
After completing the learning activities, students were required to complete "My Fortification Diary", and applied the explanation techniques they have learned, and shared their experience in making catapults and how they have used the Scratch game on the day.
