Speaking Through Flowers—Understanding Your Child’s Emotions Through Art

Co-organised by our school and SKH St. Joseph’s Church and Social Centre, the ‘Speaking Through Flowers-Understanding Your Child’s Emotions Through Art’ parent-child workshop enables parents and children to step into the world of floral art together and learn to ‘communicate’ in a different way. 

The event began with a picture book story—each character faced difficulties in their own way, just as every child has their own unique pace. Parents listened attentively, learning to appreciate their children’s individuality and realising that companionship is more important than rushing them.

Next, parents and children worked together to create floral arrangements. Every flower and every leaf symbolised the nourishment and love needed for growth.

The children carefully selected their floral materials, whilst their parents patiently assisted them; the hall was filled with a warm and heartfelt atmosphere.

After completing their creations, everyone took photos to commemorate the occasion and wrote words of appreciation and blessings on cards. With the scent of flowers mingling with laughter, time seemed to slow down.
